Mr cooper's please sir can I have some more...

Mr coopers is a restaurant in the Midland hotel (Manchester). It's in a lovely room opposite the french, there were leaves growing out of the wall and there is a tree in the middle of the room. Also the tables and chairs were like garden furniture.

The service is very good. The staff made you feel welcome, although it is posh the staff were
friendly!I got given my own menu which is nice
because I don't always get given a menu because I am kid! The portions are small and were enough
for me, but I don't know how the portions are big enough for a adult to be very full!

For starters I had black pudding in fried brioche with apple and bacon jam!I loved the black pudding in brioche bread and I thought the bacon jam went really nice with it!My starter was small but my mums was tiny!

For main course I had grilled sole with ginger butternut, shrimps and bok choy. The sole was nice.I thought the ginger butternut was a bit too sweet but my dad thought it was lovely.I had never
had shrimps before I tried them and I really liked them.

My dessert was caramel tart with mascarpone ice  cream!I thought that the tart was a bit heavy and
there could have been a bit more ice cream, but the ice cream tasted nice!

I wish I had chosen my dad's dessert!

Altogether I thought the restaurant was good and the staff were very nice. The thing that lets it down is the portion size and I was full but my dad wasn't.If you have a big appetite I suggest getting another starter or some side dishes.
